What are the principles of spirituality ?

Firstly, be aware that spirituality means something different to everyone. For some, it’s about participating in organized religions. For others, it’s more personal—some people get in touch with their spiritual side through private prayer, yoga, meditation, quiet reflection, or even long walks. Research shows that even skeptics cannot stifle the sense that there is something greater than the concrete world we see.

Principles of spirituality either called spiritual laws, spiritual principles or spiritual truths, are part of our approach to life – ways of being, doing, thinking, believing, behaving, and engaging with life that can enable us to live toward our highest potential. They are kind of the rules of engagement.

Most human beings live pretty much mindlessly – on “autopilot” most of the time.

And these principles for waking consciousness are simple characteristics such as joy, gratitude, love, forgiveness, serenity, hope, faith, reason, motivation, consistency & community. And, as we seek to integrate them into our everyday thoughts and actions, we support good health and so, well being.

So, the more aware we are of these higher truths as we interact with the world, the more mindful we can become, the less we suffer, the more we grow, and the more satisfaction we can find in life.

These key principles can serve as a foundation for successful living. They also serve well as daily affirmations in meditation and waking consciousness.
