How to know that you are doing better than you think

If you are like most of my clients and think that modern life is full of pressures and expectations. So much so, that you may often feel inadequate or unsatisfied with your lot in life.

If only you could have this, or do this, or look like that, or be like that person, your life would be complete… right ? Sometimes, I have the same feelings !

But is your life really that far off from where it should be?

Below is a list of signs that are proof that we are certainly doing better than we think –

and you’ll be really surprised at how many of these you can tick :

1. We quite often know what is right for us

We have a clear vision of what we want (and what we don’t want) in our life.

You may not always do the right choices, but you always try your best to honor yourself and your integrity.

2. We don’t let our ego stand in our way of our happiness

We understand that we are all part of a whole instead of isolated individuals, and that we all need each other to survive and thrive.

I don’t know you, but I am not afraid to ask for help and have given up my need to be always right and in control.

3. We have learned from disappointment

A wise man once said, “You must sacrifice the pains of yesterday if you wish to taste the delights of today.”

And that is exactly what we are doing. Am I wrong ?

You have been knocked down in life (may be more than once) and yet you are still standing and stronger than ever…

Why? Challenges and disappointments have only made us wiser and we are using this experience for our own good.

4. We have people in our life that we love and trust

We are blessed with people that love and support us, no matter how hard things get – and as I am concerned, there is no way I am going to take them for granted!

5. We are always looking to be a better version of ourselves

Even though you may not be exactly where you want to be in life, I have no doubt that you are committed to constant self-improvement, evolution and introspection.

6. We find pleasure in the little things in life

We don’t need the latest iPhone or the fanciest car to find happiness.

We find pleasure in life’s simple blessings, like a cup of coffee/tea, the warm morning sun, or the opportunity to help others.

7. We are in complete freedom to do whatever we want

You may take this for granted sometimes, but having the time and freedom to do whatever you want is extremely precious.

Walking your own path takes courage, so keep your head up and praise yourself ; you are doing so much better than you think.

Now that you know you are on the right track, let’s take the next step …

Each of them comes from your mind – because your mind is the key to nearly everything.

And so the next step to getting where you want to be, is to reprogram your mind to embrace the beliefs, habits and emotions that serve you instead of sabotage you.
